The first phase judging took place in December and the shortlisted candidates for the Director categories will be further assessed by the independent judging panel, chaired by Raymond O’Hare, Founder, OC Solutions and former Chairman of IoD Scotland, in February when the finalists for each of the Director categories will be selected.
The Regional category nominations will be judged by the IoD Scotland Regional Committees and the finalists will be announced in February.
The IoD Scotland Director of the Year Awards is Scotland’s premier recognition platform for the top directors from all sectors – public, private and voluntary - and is vital recognition and celebration of success, ambition and excellence in the professions of directorship and leadership.
The Awards are open to all Scottish directors, executive and non-executive or equivalent, whether IoD members or not, and the benefits of entering extend beyond picking up one of the prestigious trophies; the finalists in the Director and Regional Categories will have a raised profile in the Scottish business arena via a media campaign and through the network of the IoD, and their finalist status will bring credibility and recognition to their company.
Thriving businesses are the powerhouse of the Scottish economy. It is time to applaud the energy and commitment of those individuals who are driving success in enterprises large, small, established and new, across Scotland so come along to the Awards Ceremony and celebrate with the finalists, network with new colleagues as well as old friends on Thursday 22 March.
